Dr. Michelle Garcia
I’m a Licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist that has built my practice at the intersection of clinical care and the legal system. Based in Glendale, California, I work with individuals, attorneys, and courts on some of the most psychologically complex situations people face.
My clinical focus is trauma — particularly the kind that comes tangled up with legal consequences, loss, guilt, and grief. I’ve worked with people who carry the weight of accidental harm, who are navigating immigration proceedings far from everything familiar, and who are trying to rebuild their lives while the legal system is still deciding their fate. This work is heavy, and I don’t take it lightly.
I provide forensic and immigration psychological evaluations, expert witness testimony, attorney consulting, and training for legal and mental health professionals. I offer both in-person appointments at my Glendale office and telehealth services throughout California.

Working with high-risk populations has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career — it’s shaped who I am as a psychologist and deepened my commitment to meeting people exactly where they are, maintaining objectivity without judgment.
I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to listen, collaborate, and help uncover the strengths they already have. Together, we build strategies tailored to what they need — not a one-size-fits-all approach — and we move at a pace that feels right for them. Progress looks different for everyone, and I’m here to offer both the support and the gentle encouragement to keep it moving forward.
My goal is always long-term: giving clients tools and confidence that stay with them well beyond our work together.
